loan progress -- 10.29.14

Undergrad: $0
Law School: $26,479.40

Another loan is gone! This is the point in the debt snowball where I really feel like I'm getting somewhere. With each loan that gets paid off, my direct debit payment gets lower. That means that I can make a bigger payment toward whichever loan I'm paying off at the moment. And that means that each loan goes away faster than the loan before. Thanks Dave Ramsey (even though I think half the shit you say is crazy)!

That one on the top is the one in my crosshairs now
I've still got about a year left to go until the whole thing is paid off (estimated date 1/1/16), but I still feel awesome. Obviously with each payment I have less to go, but getting below $30k is a real mental boost to me. I can only imagine how I'll feel when that balance goes down to 4 digits...

  2. WOOOOO HOOOOO! Somehow I keep accumulating and paying off the same $2-3K in credit card debt. I really have to stop that shit.

We just bundled our last few loans aside from a monster student loan and are slashing through them. I love it.
