bootstraps

It's no secret I've been in a bit of a funk lately. One of those where you want to be free from the bondage of your own mind, but you don't know how to start. Well, sometimes in order to pull yourself up by your bootstraps, you need someone to help you find your bootstraps. Special thanks to Meagan for handing my bootstraps to me on Friday afternoon.

So on Friday night, I went home and told C we were working on goal boards. He was on board, and after dinner we went to the Starbucks down the street to brainstorm and write things down. I was done with my list in less than 10 minutes. Seems I've had all these things bubbling at the surface, and it felt so good to write them down.

On Saturday I got a surprise visit from my good friend Christa and her husband and kids, which made me SO happy. I hadn't seen them in like a year, and there's nothing like a trip to the Children's Museum to do a heart good.

Not a great picture, but those smiles are wonderful.

Chihuly also makes my heart happy.

I also took advantage of the nice weather on Saturday and went for a run on the Monon. It was only so-so, but I'm proud of myself for getting out there.

I also did lots of cleaning this weekend, which always makes me feel fresher. I'm on my way back, baby! Get ready!

And I know it's hard when you're falling down
And it's a long way up when you hit the ground
But get up now, get up, get up now
